What does everyone think of 4.7 billion value for an idea. Paid by Redhat to Siara today which was started in Junu 1998 by a few defectors from Cerent, funded few months ago for mere 30 million by KPB and Khosla(same group from Cerent). 100 fold return in few months for them. Not bad for a VC firm, specializing in " selling before hatching" is a sure bet. This one is as crazy as Cisco-cerent except Redhat is much more bloated stock than Cisco. Market Valuation 11 billion with 40 million sales and 20 million losses. Unbelievable. At this rate LU is worth 10 trillions. Just a thought. BR
