Koch is a has-been determined to be remembered as a never-was.

Koch can't stand it that people regard Giuliani as the far better Mayor.

Remember:

1) Koch was thrown out of office;
2) It was reported that Koch was fired from ABC radio for lousy ratings. Koch had used his once popular show as a venue to attack Giuliani and support the Clintons;
3) Koch reportedly had lousy ratings again, this time on tv and national and was effectively destroyed by "Judge Judy". Koch was not only humbled by "Judy" but actually replaced by her husband on "People's Court".

Koch apparently hasn't the grace or intelligence to fade away. His actions merely show that he, not Giuliani, is the mean and vindictive one.
