... according to my readings ... ... Abiomed and the Penn State Medical Center are the only two viable competitors in the development of an artificial implanted replacement heart. However, a friend, who also owns ABMD, and who had a heart transplant 13 years ago, told me this morning that his Dr, a cardiologist at Brigham & Women's Hospital recently mentioned to him another company, on the west coast, that will be real competition to Abiomed in the heart replacement market. He didn't recall the name of the company, but will get it when he sees his Dr later this month. Do you know the name of that company, and do you know of any other serious competitors in this area? Thanks. Ken Wilson
