NEW YORK (CBS.MW) -- Shares of Laser Vision rallied early Tuesday after the company reported better-than-expected earnings as revenue at the company doubled.

Laser Vision (LVCI: news, msgs) surged 4 1/8, or 32 percent, to 17 1/8 in pre-market trading over the Island ECN. The company said late Monday that it earned 12 cents per share, excluding a one-time tax gain. Analysts expected the company, which uses lasers to correct various eyesight problems, to earn 11 cents per share, according to First Call.
