Quite fascinating to watch the price action! Certainly disabuses you of any notion that price action is based simply and only on buy and sell orders! More like: -- we're taking this sub DOWN! -- anything alive down here? Only fills are at the BID nobody gets filled at the ASK! -- throw in a few 100 and 200 lot items much under the current bid/ask range--and fill them at the bid too! -- low enough for you? OK, snatch everything in sight-- everything at the ASK now--we're going UP! The movement down starts fast and accelerates quickly. The route back is much slower and may be punctuated by more dives towards the bottom. Great fun! However, how do you distinguish this type of activity from a genuine dive to the bottom triggered by a race for the exits (mixing metaphors horribly)? Best wishes, Jim
