You need to look at history because you really don't know what you are talking about. I don't know if you ever served a day during Vietnam but but some of us did. FYI, Westmoreland came after Kennedy and Johnson who got us into the mess in the first place. If there is "blame" it goes there. People often forget that Kennedy got many people killed during the Bay of Pigs and that Kennedy was the one who got us going in Vietnam. Not a very good record when it comes to sending troops. If he had not, Westmoreland would of never have been there and we would not be having this conversation. Again you lay the blame in the wrong place. If you know what happened in Vietnam you would know our troops had their hands tied by people in Washington. What got reported where, did not cause politicians to set the rules of how the "conflict" was fought or prolong the war. Since you seem to have missed this I'll explain it and tell something that should open your eyes and make all true Americans sick. A lot of people have no idea that MONEY played a major part in Vietnam and how it was fought and that politicians and the American peacenics really lost the war. Jane lost the war and people like her because dumb $hit politicians listened to her and NOT their commanders in the field. If they had, Vietnam would of been over in 1969. Look it up. We couldn't bomb the north or go after NVA or VC hiding in other countries. Westmoorland didn't make those rules. And now get your barff bucket ready because you are about the hear an example that shows what any commander did, didn't matter. Michelin had a rubber plantation near The Trapezoid Area. Our boys could be shot at or killed by VC hiding in the Michelin Rubber Plantation and they couldn't do anything about it. US troops could not bomb them and the trees, they could not go in after them, off limits. You see they didn't want to hurt the trees. Westmoreland or any military man would never fight a war like that and THAT is what prolonged the war, not a body count. What this shows is body counts didn't matter, how the war was fought did. That a tree held more value at the time to Congress than an American soldier's life should tell anyone that between Congress and people like Hanoi Jane Fonda and those who supported her (and still do) lost the war, prolonged it, caused many more of our troops to die. What Westmoreland or anyone did with a body count didn't prolong the war. What Congress did, did prolong it if you know the facts. Again look it up, it most likely would of been over in 1969 had Congress and the President listened to the military commanders and not Hanoi Jane and people like her. One final point, Hanoi Jane Fonda was well known when she went over to the commies or they never would of USED her. I remember very clearly what I thought when Hanoi Jane went over to the commies. I thought "What the ---- is going on? In wars past, beautiful women from Hollywood put on a show for our troops but Jane Fonda is putting one on for the gooks?" I knew who she was and so did our troops. What she drew at a box office or when, didn't matter. What she did, does. The subject is a CTB, Commie Traitor Bitch named Hanoi Jane Fonda so don't pull a Clinton and try to change the subject or place blame on others. Focus on the truth. And since we mortals can now say who goes to hell, as you did. I believe there is a special place in hell for commies like Hanoi Jane AND for people who don't know what they are talking about and go on a board like this and talk out their a$$ as they slander people.
