To qualify, companies were required to show at least 50 percent growth in the last two years and to have earned either $1 million in revenue or $5 million in financing.
The 560 nominees from a wide variety of IT industries -- from application development to e-commerce to network and communications management -- were evaluated by a panel of experts and analysts selected by Computerworld for their influence and expertise.
