"This new addition is part of the company's continuing efforts to add value to our shareholders by ultimately growing our business," said Alan Moriyama, president and chief executive officer. "Mr. Darchiville will focus on developing the company's strategic direction, manage going to market strategies for new Internet commerce and networking based products and services, access new business opportunities and will remain the company's key capital markets representative. This expertise was developed over 12 years working in various senior capacities in the Canadian financial services industry," he added. More recently, Mr. Darchiville was the vice-president and manager of the corporate client services group at Merrill Lynch Canada Inc., where he was responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining and modifying group investment plans for several Canadian technology and telecommunications corporations. This exposure also enabled Mr. Darchiville to develop a strong business development network within the North American technology and telecommunications market.
