OT: Does anyone know if a PrimeStar dish can be somehow modified for use as either a UHF/VHF or radio antenna (AM/FM or hopefully SW)?

I'm asking because some people in my area have been shifted from PrimeStar to DirectTV already. When the installers come, they remove the PrimeStar dish but do not take it with them, just leave it for the home owners to discard. No, people are not happy about having to deal with the disposal of these big, heavy dishes. Before the installers get to my house, I'd like to find out if the PrimeStar dish can be put to other, non-satellite use or if I'm going to have to go out of my way to be here when they come and demand, not just insist, that they take the PrimeStar dish with them.

Lynn

P.S. I am posting here because I could not figure out if there is a better thread for hopefully getting an answer. If there is, please let me know [in PM] since I have only posted this question here.
