It is also worth noting that the one product that was conspicuous by its absence from the review was Microsoft's IIS.

This is obviously because, as a Sun page, the review is intended, at least in part, to help promote Sun's products, i.e., Solaris, on which IIS does not run.

This, in turn raises the larger question of WHY Microsoft will not support unix the way it does, for example, Mac OS. I have my theory why: IIS is a defensive product intended to protect Microsoft's existing installed base by reducing the incentive for people to put others' products on their windows platforms.
