I thought TA was supposed to take the emotion out of trading? :)

I haven't been using TA too long (last several months), but I feel fairly confident about entering positions (long or short), but haven't found a real dependable indicator for making an exit.

Example: today I finally exited ATHM and AMZN, after a nice run-up the last 3 weeks. Wish I could have exited about 2 or 3 days earlier. But looking back at my charts, I could make an argument for exiting or even staying long. I'm using fairly basic indicators for exiting, usually stochastics, (including stochRSI), and parabolic SAR. I'm hoping I'll get better with experience.

And, I guess it really it is just about improving my chances of success... probably is pretty unlikely to make an exit at the top.

Bottom line is I wanted to take my profit, so I went with my gut. Just some rambling...
