Sure I find it relevant. Durable goods and housing are large, key links in the supply chain, and their decline shows that higher interest rates are having the desired affect.

This is why I think this is simply a retest of the bonds 6.40 yield high from a few weeks ago.

Other things to consider are the softening (though tentative) in oil prices, and the concern about the new lows vs the Dollar in the Euro. The Dollar is too strong vs the Euro.

There is PLENTY of cash around to finance a rally in stocks and bonds. More has gone into money market funds this year than stock funds.
