Anybody see a pattern here?

Gaugs:

"One of my first dates with my spouse, I kind of made her haul rocks up from the river to my car."

Edwarda:

"... we spent a lovely afternoon gathering the more unusual and striking rocks that we found for his fountain. And guess who was hauling them back to the car?"

Architectural Digest magazine:

"[Andy] Williams wanted the facade and the three chimneys to be
stone. 'Since I didn't like the looks of the sharp local shelf rock,
I called my former wife, Claudine [Longet], and asked her to send
me samples of the river stone we used to have in Aspen,' he says.
Several heavy boxes of it arrived via UPS in Branson, Williams
made his selection, and the stone was trucked to the Ozarks from
Colorado."
