That's the difference between the NFL and MLB, there's a degree of integrity in baseball that the NFL doesn't understand. L. Taylor goes into the HOF after numerous drug arrests. That's the NFL. In MLB an athletes off the field actions can and will keep him out of the HOF. I personally think that PR is one of the greatest baseball players of all time, but I don't think he should be in the HOF as I feel he has damaged the integrity of the game. I also don't think he should be banned from baseball completely. What if they listed the Reds baseball games that PR possibly bet on. And ask the losing betters who were possibly affected if they think PR should be in the HOF? I think a condition of getting back in the HOF should be that all the particulars of PR's alleged betting should be made public, then let the fans decide. Public opinion is probably going to allow PR into the HOF.
I say if you put PR in , you also have to put Shoeless Joe Jackson in. Just my two cents worth!!!!
