Agreement represents audiohighway.com's first foray into premium content arena
CUPERTINO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 30, 1999-- audiohighway.com (Nasdaq: AHWY - news), an Internet information and entertainment company, Tuesday announced it has entered into a content distribution agreement with Dow Jones & Co. to provide selected articles and information from The Wall Street Journal Interactive Edition to audiohighway.com users on a subscription basis and in an audio format.
The agreement is audiohighway.com's first foray into providing premium content via electronic commerce to its customers. audiohighway.com is offering two products. The first is offering subscribers selected ``Business and Finance' and ``World-Wide' news items from the ``What's News' section on the front page of the Interactive Journal , which is continuously updated 24 hours a day.
In addition, audiohighway.com is offering ``The Wall Street Journal Today,' a more in-depth 15-minute summary of the day's top stories selected by the producers of The Wall Street Journal radio group.
audiohighway.com will provide the content through a 12-month subscription at a cost of $39.99 for either item or $49.99 for both. It is anticipated that subscribers will be able to receive the audio content shortly after 6 a.m. Eastern time each morning.
