gaj, I've been in this business going on 5 years and those that say they 'grabbed the whole turkey' don't usually do so. If it were so then the scores of e-mail I've gotten since November 1, 'advising' me me what to short would be full of 'great gains' but to put it bluntly, the great majority of them are losers by 10 to over 100 points. So don't think anyone else is having any more luck 'riding them all the way down'...This is a fantastic bull market and no one really knows which ones will go 'all the way down'. They can have 1 to 2 week corrections but even the bottom of those are difficult to predict and most cover before even that mini-correction is over.

Most are happy to do as well as you but might have a few extra shares to short is all. The reason I put my shorts on the thread in real-time as best as I can barring some slowness with SI is to show you that most 'shorters' don't commit to their shorts and its not that easy.

Sure its easy 6 weeks later to 'claim' to have shorted a stock that is now down 40% or so.. but the trick is being able to hold shorts like this through inevitable high gains and follow the short play with the thread, whether it be ours or another, not coming out of the shadows after the stock is finally down to claim the 'trophy'.
