Jim, thanks for the update! Its been a long time since Ive given this much thought & we both know you're stance on the issue but lets keep in mind the reason for the cap following. Qam ain't a bad thing not that it matters now & I for one know these things take time but the process of all this is a technical matter? I do still agree though that deployment over debate might have been a better solution & Im seeing the same mistakes in the November's issue? csdmag.com "Cable Modem Certification" This months "The Dsl Solution" looks like a good read even though I haven't yet. My best regards, Dug P.S. Im not @ all impressed w/ the T1 always on connection I get but it does work for my users in that it makes the network complete. Ive read a few folks on SI that think their Adsl connection is just the berries but after some use/time it slows. 8 meg would still be my preference!
