(shorting) jenna - i greatly appreciate you posting your shorts in RT, because it's helping me to 'see' what others see. i don't mean blindly duplicating, of course, but to have an idea what to look out for. i still couldn't have 'caught' cmgi so well on its way down today, but i'm learning by seeing which stocks go down after runups, and what their charts / patterns / market conditions look like WHEN they go down. i read a book by kathryn staley (spelling?) on shorting, which is considered excellent by some. i got more use out of it NOT for its shorting techniques, but for learning how to read a company's balance sheet, etc. and if that company had problems as the 'shortable' companies, to avoid going long (which doesn't mean going short). my feeling is there are thousands of stocks out there, and i'm only going to be in a couple - why not make it the 'best' ones i can find?
