Been thinking about this problem (and looking at possible reasons this might be happening), and without giving you the "cop-out" answer you might get from Microsoft or Real Networks...that is, the answer that says, "Movies are designed to be better performing via network connections than as local files" (really, I've heard this one), I'll just say it most likely has something to do with your caching. And you can bet that answer is worth about as much as you paid for it too! <gg>

If you're familiar with caching, and how to free up resources, you might want to try playing with this. If not...it could get ugly with me trying to walk you through it! <GG>
