It shouldn't.
Couldn't get the 1mb card (Jaton, Trident 9685, supposedly Win98 supported) to run no matter what.

Took the 2mb S3 Trio Virge card out of my machine, dropped it into to kids machine, works fine. Just as a matter of interest, dropped the Jaton back in, same problems.

Put the S3 Trio Virge in a second time, and will get a new video card for my machine.

Now I just have to get the modem working!
