Could today's unexpected volume (and strength to some degree) been due to end-of-month buying by mutual funds that follow the S&P Midcap 400 (or whatever CKFR was just added to)? EOM, EOQ, and EOY window dressing always takes place and I was wondering if some of these mutual funds needed to add some more CKFR today so that it would be on their books. There were 2 50K blocks and a few 30K blocks that crossed the tape today. Just wondering...
