Surprise was unlikely, given your usual level of informedness in the German political setting. I'd actually dare to ask you a question for I assume you might be better informed on that one than me: why is the WTO meeting in Seattle non-News in Germany, while it is number one at least in BBC, but probably also on CNN, and in France ? There is a minor item mention of protests 'at a WTO meeting in Seattle' in the serious news channels, but as well the objectives of the conference, as the objections of the protesters stay unknown, uncommented... what might German political interest in that meeting be? Is it either true that 'we' are non-influential on WTO, or WTO was uninfluential on 'us'? (I don't think so). Or should there be an interest to make cabinet politics (politics behind closed doors) of that in Germany?

Regards, and a good morning, MNI.
