This will probably be my one and only post to this thread, but you've touched upon a subject which I feel strongly about - and have drawn the wrong conclusion.

In your research you have not gone back far enough. On the Sanity thread, say 2000-8000, people like Daniel Schuh and dougjn posted consistent intelligent commentary. Almost invariably, they were met with personal attacks.

Permit me to show you the following: to the best of my recollection I had never had an exchange with the person in question and had in fact only posted a few times on the Sanity thread prior to this:
