Still, when you've got a 500Mb database with something wrong in it, it's not a nice feeling to know that the nearest support engineer is 12 hours away by Boeing 747. And for Australians, support phone calls aren't a lot of fun when the only support center in your timezone is in Tokyo and manned by people for whom English is a second language.

By the way, any thoughts on a company in your neck of the woods called Keycorp?

As it so happens, I know someone who worked there until a year ago. They seem to be running a big business as if it were a small business. Also, the engineering department is dominant and the company doesn't really believe in marketing (kinda reminds me of ODIS). But still their stock price has done well recently: the kind of business they're in, one good deal can make up for an awful lot.
