I noticed the improvement in new highs and new lows on the NYSE. However, they deteriorated on the Nasdaq. Also, it's often the case early in a market decline for some buying of laggards to attempt. I believe the top for this move was a week ago Monday. I use AIQ and the database had a predominant number of individual stock sell signals for sell reversals (83%) and of sell signals confirmed by negative momentum (79%). I usually have intermediate-term market tops when they're both above 80 percent. The October market bottom was a short-term bottom; I had 88% of the stock signals firing long reversal signals.

chartcraft.com gave a P&F objective sell on the Dow Monday.
