Looks like this thread has been dead for a while. Maybe it can be revived.

I just finished reading the book and some of the critiques.

There is a very interesting exchange of ideas (I believe, 7 messages) between Clive Cook of The Economist and Glassman at:

Also, there is an interview with Jeremy Seigel of Wharton and Hassett at:

I'm not an economist and I have problems with who to believe. Crook is not a believer and thinks the analysis is flawed for fundamental reasons. Siegal confirms the theory, but raises other possible outcomes. I haven't had time yet to digest the arguments in this thread. Comments?
