DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 30, 1999--uniView Technologies Corp. (Nasdaq:UVEW - news) confirms that Kmart is the retailer for the Curtis Mathes branded televisions which went on sale Thanksgiving Day nationwide.

The market has been expecting to see the Curtis Mathes name on electronic products since the licensing deal was announced earlier in the year, but due to the confidentiality agreement, a retailer was not disclosed.

''Additional licensing agreements can be expected for the Curtis Mathes brand. The Curtis Mathes brand is a significant asset of our company, and should add considerable royalty revenue to the bottom line,'' said Pat Custer, Chairman and CEO of uniView. ''It is an exciting day to see millions of dollars of televisions sold with the Curtis Mathes brand on the re-introduction of the name.''

Kmart, the second largest retailer with over 2100 storefronts in the U.S., has been very successful over the years offering private label products through their retail stores. The most recent success was the Martha Stewart name, which now has sales over a billion dollars.
