NEW YORK and TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 1, 1999--LANSource Technologies Inc. (Toronto) and Teltran International, Inc. (OTCBB:TLTG.ob - news; New York) Wednesday announced that their joint venture, ChatOverIP.com, officially goes live online today.

ChatOverIP.com will be an online site that hosts monthly live chats with key IP Telephony industry executives as the speakers. The site will also contain sponsorship opportunities, advertorials, banner ads and industry news. In addition, vendors and service providers will be able to line-list their company under the appropriate IP Telephony category, with an active link to their website directing traffic to them. Other features include a free subscription to industry news and chat highlights.

LANSource and Teltran began the ChatOverIP.com concept in August 1999 by hosting a live chat on IP Telephony and Fax over IP. The guest speakers on that first live chat were Peter Davidson, President of Davidson Consulting; Maury Kauffman, President of The Kauffman Group; and Irfan Ali, Senior VP and General Manager of 3Com. The chat showed great promise as approximately 100 guests were in attendance and the companies received positive feedback including numerous requests for transcripts.

Recent History:

In September, LANSource and Teltran hosted two more live chats entitled ''Carrier Grade Solutions'' and ''Fax over IP Solutions'' with speakers from Brooktrout, Shockey Consulting, Dialogic, USA Global Link and others. Each chat became more and more successful as attendance grew, click-thru's to the corporate banners of our speakers and sponsors began to rise, and follow up requests for transcripts and information numbered in the hundreds.

The October 1999 forum yielded the highest attendance and greatest response yet as the chat featured Nortel Networks, Codetel, Telia and Telecom Columbia. Based on the tremendous response worldwide and the demand that continuously streamed in - LANSource and Teltran decided to create the ChatOverIP.com joint venture.

''ChatOverIP.com has achieved tremendous success in the fourth quarter of 1999. Moving with the times as we rapidly approach the year 2000, these innovative forums are necessary to stand out amongst the large IP Telephony giants. The chats have aligned LANSource and Teltran with some of the greatest corporations in the industry,'' said Marc Bisnaire, President of LANSource Technologies.

Teltran's Vice President - Sales & Marketing, Peter Biagioli added, ''Forums in which new and exciting ideas are exchanged in a fun and informal yet professional manner are exactly what is needed to disseminate information to the masses, while attracting a sophisticated group of speakers and audience members. We are very pleased with our partnership with LANSource and look for great things to happen with ChatOverIP.com during 2000.''
