Jill...

About the third week of January...I wouldn't be caught dead holding an option 3 weeks prior to expiration. Too many tricks out there. You know what Q has done the past several option expiration dates. Anyway, by January the premium will rot away so fast it isn't worth the risk from my experience.

About all these people waiting to buy AFTER the split. Maybe, maybe not. I think what will happen is a minor sell off a few days after the split with some of the big traders selling some of their shares to the neophytes. Just a guess, but too many people think the stock will rise...usually it goes the opposite direction. In fact I wouldn't be surprised to see a sell off right before earnings, then another blast off.
