My blithering post on RB's SFTBF forum:

ragingbull.com

I'll regret my rash complaints but I'm still baffled by why all the Internet funds deliberately passed over a no-brainer like Softbank yet picked up loads of garbage stocks like TGLO and Cendant.

And all the wall street analysts pounding the table about getting diversified with internet VCs like CMGI, holding a "basket" of net stocks, diversifying with global exposure, etc. Yet Softbank's always left out of the mix.

Go figure. Sometimes life is stranger than fiction.

PS. yeah, i've never been so nonchalant in my life about a 1-day $100 stock drop. I almost don't care - that stock chart really does a breather. Maybe if Warburg Dillon Read calls for a "strong sell" and reiterates a Y20K price target right now, enough suckers will drop the stock down a couple hundred bucks more (not gonna happen, but I wish), at which point I can finally afford to add to my meager holdings.

Man, this summer I really did look like an idiot offering a $200 reward for an odd-lot. In retrospect, it's the smartest thing I've ever done in my life.
