Big Picture Appoints US-based VP of Sales in Response to Growing Product Demand
CALGARY, Dec. 1 /CNW/ - Big Picture Technologies is pleased to announce
the appointment of Mr. Gregory Gross to the position of Vice President, Sales.
In this newly created position, Mr. Gross will be responsible for the
company's packaged product sales in the United States and Canada.
Mr. Gross has 20 years of retail experience, much of it in key
merchandise management roles within the computer, consumer electronics, and
office product superstore industries. Prior to joining Big Picture, Mr. Gross
was a merchandising executive with Egghead.com, a leading Web-based retailer
of technology products. During his tenure, Egghead's Internet sales increased
over 10 times.
Mr. Gross' experience also includes key management positions with Office
Depot, Bizmart Inc., Majestic Electronics, and The Federated Group Consumer
Electronics Superstores. Mr. Gross will be based in Denver, Colorado.
In commenting on this important appointment, Mr. Michael Anthony,
President and CEO of Big Picture Technologies stated, ``I welcome Greg's
extensive retail channel experience as it is pivotal to the success of our
go-to-market strategy for eMERCHANT pro, Big Picture's e-commerce Web site

As a result of the recently announced acquisitions of Morgan Media and
Salasan, and evident demand from the channel for eMERCHANT pro, Big Picture
felt it necessary to create a standalone mandate for sales. Mr. Peter
Lossing, previously VP/Marketing & Sales, in his new role as VP/Marketing,
will assume expanded accountability for corporate marketing functions.
