Princeton, N.J. (Dow Jones)--The Dow Jones Global Titans Index will delete
Mobil Corp., following the completion of its merger with Exxon Corp., and add
Lucent Technologies Inc., effective Wednesday.
Also, the shares of Exxon will be increased to reflect the merger terms.
A summary of the index's changes follows:
Exxon Corp.
Event: The shares will increase, and the name and symbol will
change.
New Name: Exxon Mobil Corp.
Old Symbol: XON
New Symbol: XOM
Old Shares: 2,427,784
New Shares: 3,453,672
Mobil Corp.
Event: The company will be deleted from the index.
Symbol: MOB
Shares: 783,085
Lucent Technologies Inc.
Event: The company will be added to the index.
Symbol: LU
Shares: 3,134,903
