As it happens, I have kept up with the shopkeepers, and you are quite right-- the rude fellow was, indeed, their landlord, and the doting parents were, indeed, forced to sell their sweet daughter into sex slavery. Fortunately, though, the girl's very first client, a kind and handsome gentleman of means, fell in love with her at first sight, and the two are now happily married and have purchased the shop (as a gift to her parents) from the estate of their former landlord. As you can gather from my use of the word "estate," the rude landlord came to a violent end as a result of his molesting, one day, the wrong shopper. The perpetrator of his murder was never caught, though she was reported to be beautiful and scantily clad. The weapon was an Uzi.
He died instantly, and did not suffer. It was then learned that he had been in the terminal stages of a serious though symptom-free disease, and so his demise would have taken place in any case within, at most, minutes of the dramatic confrontation with the warrior-woman. |
