LAKE ELSINORE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 1, 1999--Medinah
Mining, Inc. reports the Phase 2 diamond-drilling program of the
Company's gold-copper discovery zone at Alto de Lipangue near
Santiago, Chile is commencing.
Gordon House, P.Geo., reports that the access road to the project
area has been upgraded and the drill sites for the first three
recommended drill holes have been prepared. The drill contractor is
mobilizing the rig immediately after road inspection.
Recommendations contained in the November 15, 1999 Phase 2
Geophysical Program consist of 1,440 meters of diamond drilling in
three holes. These holes will be drilled into the breccia pipe south
of the previous drilling. The first hole will be drilled under the
Discovery Hole L99-03 at an angle of -70 degrees and an azimuth of 360
degrees to intersect the breccia pipe at depth. This will confirm the
theory that ore grades will increase to depth.
The second and third holes are step-outs to the west to partially
test the Phase Anomaly on line DE of the IP/Resistivity survey
recently completed. The holes will be drilled at -70 degrees on an
azimuth of 360 degrees with the second hole sited 50 meters west of
the Discovery Hole L99-03. The third hole is sited 50 meters west of
the first hole of this drill program. These two holes will confirm the
western extension of the breccia pipe and provide a better perspective
on the geometry of the pipe itself.
The Lipangue Breccia project is being drilled first, and some
results can be expected before the Christmas break.
The Las Dos Marias gold-bearing shear zone will be drilled
shortly after the final IP/CSAMT report is interpreted by GeoDatos.
Howe Chile Ltda. (A.C.A. Howe International Limited) have been
contracted to provide continuous, independent verification, and
follow-up qualifying reports on the Las Dos Marias and Alto de
Lipangue diamond drilling programs.
