I make this pledge to my boys: I will defend them to the death against predators of all stripes, including the Sir Elton variety, until they are capable of defending themselves. I will do this whether or not my government and institutions back me up or even if I have to fight them too. They celebrate their devious plans to drive the age of sexual consent down to 16 (why not 15, 14 or 13?)
