<<Do you really think that is because we have that many more "real" criminals?>> We do have more real crimes committed by people who are convinced by the pop culture that they are special. We are an enabling society, raising our children to excuse everything. I have watched many good kids lose respect for standards of good behavior once they are convinced a good excuse is more useful than good behavior.
