Conformity "laws"? I know there is a strong cultural bent in Asian countries toward social "conformity", but I'm not sure about "laws". BTW, I don't see the connection between allowing disrespect for teachers and future "creativity". In fact my experience with children in school is just about the opposite. The students that displayed due respect toward the teachers were generally the best academically and socially. The students that were constantly in trouble for dissing teachers for the most part were mediocre students. Not to say that they were necessarily lacking in intellect, but more lacking in instruction at home regarding socially acceptable behavior. bp
