I was not an investor in the early days of INTC, MSFT, and CSCO but do you remember if from the beginning they were set to do well as gorillas?

It seems that every passing week we hear about a company or technology challenging our young gorilla QCOM for their market share.

I just want to get some perspective of how different is our QCOM reacting to the challenges as compared to the old gorillas did in their early days.
