Creative Computer Applications Inc. Announces
the Award of an Important New Contract

CALABASAS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 1, 1999--Creative Computer Applications Inc. (CCA) (AMEX:CAP -
news), a provider of Clinical Information Systems for hospital- and clinic-based radiology imaging centers,
laboratories and pharmacies, today announced the award of an important new contract and its launch into
marketing its products in Southeast Asia.

The company announced the award of a major contract for the provision of CyberLAB II© to Pathology and
Clinical Laboratory (M) SDN BHD of Malaysia (Pathlab). The contract, valued at more than US$600,000, includes
a software license for CyberLAB II©, implementation services and post-implementation support of the
software.

The installation will be conducted jointly by the company and by Pathlab's internal information-technology
department. Pathlab will retain responsibility for its own hardware, network and communications
infrastructure.

The CyberLAB II© Laboratory Information System has been chosen by Pathlab as the core information system
in its multimillion-dollar expansion program for its clinical-laboratory operations throughout Malaysia. Pathlab,
which is celebrating its 25th year in business, is the largest clinical laboratory in Malaysia and in Southeast
Asia.

Pathlab's Malaysian operations comprise 43 separate laboratory service centers, all of which will access a
central database, fully utilizing CyberLab II©'s multisite architecture. CyberLAB II© will be central to directing
the information flow to and from the central reference laboratory, located in Kuala Lumpur, and its regional
testing facilities.

Pathlab will also employ CCA's Web-Server(TM) application that provides access to CyberLAB II© via the Web.
Once fully implemented, more than 1,000 of Pathlab's physician clients will have secured Web access to their
patients' clinical-laboratory data from virtually anywhere.

Steven M. Besbeck, president and chief executive officer, stated: ``The award of this contract is a significant
development for the company for a number of reasons. We are pleased to have won the competitive bid for
Pathlab's business, which of itself is an important contract and attests to the efficacy of our product.

``Pathlab is a highly regarded primary provider of clinical- laboratory services in Malaysia and has affiliates in
neighboring countries. Because of its high profile, Pathlab's operation will serve as a great demonstration site
for our marketing and sales activities in the region.

``We have been monitoring this region of Asia for the last couple of years, waiting for an improvement in the
economy and an opportunity to develop a presence there. We view this transaction as the beginning of an
important partnership with Pathlab that will help establish our company in the region.'
