Connection was extremely reliable and simple. The only drawback is the my PB uses a USB connector and I had to go buy an adapter. Very expensive.

A PowerBook doesn't have a COM port? I found it interesting that Sprint is charging $100 for the Thinphone cable but Airtouch only $30. I assume the cable is the same even though they are for different models of the TP (800Mhz vs. 1900Mhz). If they are the same, I know that you don't currently have to be an Airtouch sub to order the cable from them so Sprint users may be able to save $70. For some reason Airtouch Internet services wouldn't bill the cable to my phone account, said it was separate and requested a credit card #.

Wait until we start seeing CDMA asics built right onto the motherboard. Just turn your computer on and it is connected, whenever and wherever you want.

I imagine this will happen as soon as packet switched ASICS are available next year?
