Slow learners vs. fast learners? Oh yeah I agree. What I'm talking about is say a pool of kids with psat scores between 1400-1600. Do you take all the 1600s, then the 1599s then the 1598s until you are full? Thats not what the top universities do, they enforce quotas.

Say the boys tend to score very highly on the math. The girls skewed up on the verbal. But math 800s (perfect scores) are far more common than verbal. Do you accept all boys since loosening restrictions on verbal will skew in favor of girls?
