Btw i'm watching the movie Avalon and they get their first tv and the whole family is all excited. They turn it on and all they see is the test pattern staring blankly at them.

The look on their faces reminded me how I felt Sat. night.

Both experiences(theirs) and mine are milestones in the evolution of television.
