I don't think you will ever see Intel enter the PC market. Why should they??? They have plenty of vendors selling Intel inside for them. Why would you want to sell a low margin $2000 system just to get rid of one CPU??? This would only be done if you were very very desperate because no one else would sell PC's with your CPU inside. Why does Cyrix come to mind?

And no, I wouldn't want to buy a PC made by Intel. Intel knows CPU's not PC's. I would rather stick with vendors who have been in the PC business for many many years.

I have been long INTC since I bought shares many years ago. I have never sold a single share. The day INTC starts selling PC's I would dump all my shares. BTW, I don't ever plan on having to do this. John Hull (INTC IR) has reiterated what INTC has said many times, i.e. that they have NO desire to enter the PC business.
