Goos.com Store Owners Hello everybody! There are lots to tell you about. Goos.com is planning to begin our advertising campaign to begin January 1. We will be placing ads around the Internet to help create maximum exposure for you all. (Currently we are talking with AOL and Yahoo!). We are starting a new program to increase traffic at our Market Place online mall. It is called "Bonus Points" and provides anyone who shops the stores at Goos.com withdrum roll pleasebonus points! These points may be used to purchase items from any store that sells via Goos.com. How does that work? We are planning on instituting a small transaction fee starting in January 2000. This fee (2.5%) would apply to sales you make. No salesno feeno risk! 1% would go towards bonus points, 1.5% would go towards helping pay for our advertising costs. Since this fee is a mere half of what eBay charges and only applies if you make a sale, we feel that this will be acceptable to you all. We have had a small number of complaints from buyers regarding stores that did not include a description of an item or that did not offer a warranty or return policy or even that were just plain sloppy. I know of at least 4 store owners that lost out on sales because of this! Please do all you can to improve your site. Take advantage of our Free Homepage capability. This will let you create a unique look for your store. Post your own icons, text, logos or whatever. It can only HELP sales! Update images and upload images for everything you sell. If you are serious about taking a crack at success online, you need to prove it! Customers won't shop at shabby stores.
