Bux, did Airtouch supply software to enable your laptop to use the Airtouch cable?

The Airtouch website clearly states that you have three choices but it doesn't explain if the results will vary.

a. Use the generic Windows driver.
b. Use the driver that came with your phone (if one did).
c. Download a driver from Airtouch.

I downloaded a driver from Airtouch (took about 5 seconds) but when I configured the phone as a modem I'm not sure if I used the generic Windows driver or the downloaded one.

Does the Sprint web service allow you to browse the Internet on the phone screen? If so, this is different from the Airtouch Wireless Web which only allows your phone to act like a modem for another device (laptop, desktop or a Palm Pilot). Technically, I understand that the base station is actually acting as a modem, not the phone.
