Are canadien funds a factor, or is everything is US dollars?

It has nothing to do with Canadian funds (OCLI acquisition). All in US dollars.

I have also bought some OCLI. The longer this discount remains before the deal goes through, the better OCLI looks to me. I am expecting the discount to start decreasing at some point. Once i see a significant decline, i am going to sell OCLI and pick up JDSU. Of course that decision depends upon tax considerations as well but that is not a factor in retirement accounts.

I don't remember what happened with CIENA/Tellabs a while back but think it had to do with accounting or other matters that were not disclosed to the Tellabs. In this case, we are in the fast growing fibre optics sector and most of these companies run at or near capacity. I don't expect any surprises on this one.
That is why i think the risk is not that much(IMHO of course).
