Sand Europe Press release:

SAND TECHNOLOGY: Sand first with fixed price SAP solutions
NOV 30, 1999, M2 Communications - Sand Technology Systems (UK)
(NASDAQ: SNDT <quotes?symbol=SNDT&type=Quote>), has teamed up with Acta
Technology Inc, to provide a
unique fixed price Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) offering using
SAP R/3, which enables highly flexible reporting at lower costs than
anything else currently available.

The deal means that Sand, using ActaWorks for SAP R/3, is able to
implement fixed- priced reporting systems for a range of SAP R/3
modules including, Sales Analysis SmartBase, Costs Analysis Smartbase,
Human Resources SmartMart, Accounts Analysis SmartMart and Inventory
Management SmartMart. In addition, Sand has defined a methodology that
enables it to complete implementation of any of these systems within a
six week period.

"SAP R/3 is the recognised business solution standard worldwide for
client/server computing and this deal now means we are able to offer
clients a quick and flexible reporting system and provide them with the
ability to design, execute and manage complex data warehousing
projects", commented Duncan Painter.

"SAP R/3 does not suffer from the limitations of fixed
entrepreneurial packages, like ASP, with their poor and inflexible
reporting," continued Painter. "SAP R/3 is faster and cheaper than any
of its rivals and can be integrated with multiple environments very
rapidly. In addition, the fact that we are able to offer fixed rate
solutions means that our package is unrivalled in terms of being able
to produce a fixed time-scale reporting solution."

ActaWorks for SAP R/3 is completely compatible with Sand's Nucleus
Exploration Suite, the award winning set of data warehousing tools
which are revolutionising data warehousing. This means that Sand is
able to offer a complete solution, from data storage to reporting and
data analysis, using a set of software tools which are unbeatable in
usability, cost and power.
