I think this answers (in part) why there was so little resistance (i.e. none) at the 52 week low of around 9.

The taxes scenario is plausible. You don't necessarily have to make quarterly pre-payments if your income is substantially more than the previous year and demonstrably unforeseen. That's the general rule at least, I don't know the particulars (there are plenty).

Regardless of taxes, though, it shows a complete lack of confidence for any contracts on the short term horizon. Further, it shows an utter disregard for the shareholders, since the effect on the stock, and the investment community, could be anticipated. Did I understand Amati is trying to tell the Funds to buy the very week it's disclosed its officers are selling?!? Now we're going to hear there were no other options?

At best it looks like sheer stupidity. At worst contract negotiations are going bad. All is speculation for now--I'm just hoping it's stupidity.
