In Chicago there were thousands of people actually rioting. It was totally different in Seattle. There simply wasn't that level of violence. It was individuals breaking windows and trashing stores, and large crowds of people milling around, but not by any stretch of the imagination mobs or riot. If it really were scary, would a retired doctor and retired teacher, both in their 60s, feel completly safe from everybody there except the police?
