Go ahead and be conceited. While we're at it.... I led the team that designed the first pilot plant in the Berkeley facility, and the initial factor VIII fermentation broths were derived in B. Mered's labs, in a department that I managed. Not saying that it was a good design, mind you.

Also, the initial project in the facility was scale-up of EBV-transformed lymphoblastoid lines, not factor VIII..... I left early and had next to nothing to do with the eventual successes.
